So, for February and March we are officially moving east for our #tourdeeuropcc. It is time for Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. ⠀

Let me be honest. Everyone thinks that with my profession I should admire the Russians. That my greatest wish would be to go there. But that’s nowhere near the truth. I have worked with enough of them to safely say I admire them for their virtue and passion, but no, I just cannot understand them. And I do not wish to visit Russia. Ever. With all the snow and the fur coats and vodka….brrr…Take me to Caribbean instead 😁. ⠀

So this will definitely be an interesting month. Cause I really dont want to read Russians. But I promised. I have two on my list that should be mild. Hopefully. And this is the list of recs that my girls @sanda_reads and @bookloose_ela made. I contributed with only two, one of which is about a ballerina. Cheesy I am, huh? 🙈⠀

If you don’t know where to start, here is the list of books you should look up:⠀
• Russian Winter – Daphne Kalotay⠀
• City of Thieves – David Benioff⠀

@bookloose_ela recommends:⠀
• Doctor Zhivago – Boris Pasternak⠀
• Child 44 – Tom Rob Smith⠀
• The Siege Series – Helen Dunmore⠀
• The Eighth Life – Nino Haratischwili⠀

@sanda_reads recommends:⠀
• A Gentleman in Moscow – Amor Towles⠀
• The Winternight trilogy – Katherine Arden⠀
• Winter Garden – Kristin Hannah⠀
• One Winters Night – Simon Sebag Montefiore⠀
• Anna Karenina – Leo Tolstoy

Will you be joining us? Have you read any of these? Any recs of your own? Let me know!
